Every spring, the world-famous Keukenhof spring flower festival in the Netherlands transforms the park into a breathtaking floral spectacle with millions of blooming bulbous plants, and this year it welcomes visitors with the inspiring theme “Golden Field.”
The 2026 theme focuses on the interplay of light, movement, and warm golden tones reflecting the radiant energy of spring. Inspired by the evocative imagery of Sting’s “Fields of Gold” and the dynamic rhythm of Vincent van Gogh’s Wheat Field with Crows, the theme celebrates nature’s patterns of renewal, growth, and harmony.
Rather than presenting a static display, “Golden Field” invites visitors to experience spring as a visual performance. Carefully selected tulips and other bulbous flowers bloom in turn throughout the season, creating a story of changing colors; From the initial bright golden tones, to transitions in shades of peach and apricot, and finally to darker blues and contrasting accents.
Keukenhof is more than a garden; it’s an extraordinary scene where nearly 7 million hand-planted bulbs come together to create an immersive spring experience. Spread across 32 hectares of landscaped grounds, the park offers themed gardens, scenic pathways, flower pavilions, and exhibits designed to delight every visitor.
This year’s theme not only showcases dazzling color combinations but also tells a story: one that captures the vibrancy of spring, the cyclical nature of growth, and the dynamic rhythms of the natural world.
